In this discipline, all the contestants use the MS 661, a standard STIHL chainsaw from the 90+ cc class. Two cookies (discs of wood) of a certain thickness must be sawn from a tree trunk (diameter of 40 cm) in one downward cut and one upward cut. The aim is to precisely adjust the pressure and rotational speed applied to the wood. The best times in this discipline are around ten seconds.
