Our tools really pack a punch. They deliver the proper performance so that you can work with absolute efficiency. The MS 880, the world’s strongest production chain saw, offers 6.4 kW of power. That’s the equivalent of 8.7 hp, more than some road-going mopeds. It’s clear that delivering this power results in vibrations – it’s a law of physics. This is an issue we combat with physics, too: We measure vibrations through the handgrips on our tools so that you notice these vibrations as little as possible and can save your energy for more important things.

The measured vibrations are not allowed to exceed certain thresholds. This was a very welcome challenge indeed for our development engineers. They designed anti-vibration systems, where buffer elements and springs prevent vibrations from being transferred from the engine to the handgrips, making our tools much more comfortable to handle
